While Google and other Pay Per Cick (PPC) providers are not releasing their numbers, it's becoming clear that PPC fraud is reaching staggering levels. Between automated clicking scripts and stories of rooms of people in India and elswhere in the world being paid on a per click basis, this is clearly an issue that is big with advertisers and those serving the ads.

One of my clients who supplements his search engine traffic with some Google AdWords recently saw an increase of over 40% in one month compared to several months prior. This may well represent valid clicks, but the implications are staggering.
